Every year I set aside specific wedding dates for destination wedding clients. Due to the economy my destination wedding bookings have slowed tremendously, and because of this I am opening all of these dates for local weddings! I also wanted to announce that I have a new associate wedding photographer joining the SWP team. Bob Cox has been shooting weddings in Hawaii the last 5 years and is moving back to Hayden, ID this summer. Bob will be available to shoot weddings starting in July 2009.

Thursday January 29, 2009 The Coeur d’ Alene Press hosted a Bridal Expo at The Coeur d’ Alene Resort for local vendors and brides. Jaime Johnson Events had a tabletop display with flowers and assistance provided by Carissa Vera of The Art of Flower and a cake from Cakes by Stefanie. We enjoyed meeting some of the area brides. Thank you to all that stopped by to say hello, we look forward to working with you all!

Feast Catering Company was on KXLY Good Morning Northwest this morning. Owner Sylvia Wilson, showed viewers how to be creative with your traditional Hors d’ Oevures.  

Soup ~ often served with a bowl and spoon, was served in “Sip Cups.” The colorful selections of Pumpkin and Beet soups could be tray passed and enjoyed as an appetizer prior to being seated for any Feast. 

Yam Bites ~ Mashed is the usuall fashion in which these are served but with jsut a bit of creativiity and a spot of pesto the Yams become a sweet treat during a social hour.

Shrimp ~ Always a party favorite but the boring display on a platter was nowhere to be found with this fun Feast twist. Adding a bit of spice and skewering a few on a small fork makes this traditional shrimp very NICE!
